॥जयेत् नीलतिमिङ्गिलम्॥ ॥jayet nīlatimiṅgilam॥
नीलमेघनिभं कृष्णं नत्वाद्य शिरसा मुहुः।
नीलं तिमिङ्गिलं जेतुं दशोपायान् ब्रवीम्यहम्॥
nīlameghanibhaṃ kṛṣṇaṃ natvādya śirasā muhuḥ।
nīlaṃ timiṅgilaṃ jetuṃ daśopāyān bravīmyaham॥
I bow down my head to salute kṛṣṇa who resembles a dark (nila) cloud and state ten ways by which one can conquer the blue whale.
पिता यस्य तु मित्रं स्यात् माता चाप्ता मनस्विनी।
स युवा तं जयेत् जिह्मं नीलवर्णं तिमिङ्गिलम्॥१॥
pitā yasya tu mitraṃ syāt mātā cāptā manasvinī।
sa yuvā taṃ jayet jihmaṃ nīlavarṇaṃ timiṅgilam॥1॥
The youth who has an amicable relationship with his father and mother and confides with them will conquer that crooked blue whale.
यन्त्रदासस्तु यो न स्यात् यन्त्रं दासस्तु यत्कृते
स युवा तं जयेत् जिह्मं नीलवर्णं तिमिङ्गिलम्॥२॥
yantradāsastu yo na syāt yantraṃ dāsastu yatkṛte
sa yuvā taṃ jayet jihmaṃ nīlavarṇaṃ timiṅgilam॥2॥
The Youth who is not a slave to the gadgets and whom has a master-like control over his gadget-usage will conquer that crooked blue whale.
क्रीडाङ्गणे तु यः स्विद्येत् नित्यं मित्रैः समं सुधीः।
स युवा तं जयेत् जिह्मं नीलवर्णं तिमिङ्गिलम्॥३॥
krīḍāṅgaṇe tu yaḥ svidyet nityaṃ mitraiḥ samaṃ sudhīḥ।
sa yuvā taṃ jayet jihmaṃ nīlavarṇaṃ timiṅgilam॥3॥
The intelligent youth who sweats it out in the playground daily with his friends, will conquer that crooked blue whale.
यस्तु सञ्चरते देशान् गृहान्मुक्तोऽतिसीमितात्।
स युवा तं जयेत् जिह्मं नीलवर्णं तिमिङ्गिलम्॥ ४॥
yastu sañcarate deśān gṛhānmukto'tisīmitāt।
sa yuvā taṃ jayet jihmaṃ nīlavarṇaṃ timiṅgilam॥ 4॥
The youth who is not confined to the limits of his house and visits various places will conquer that crooked blue whale.
समाजहितचिन्तावान् तत्क्रियातत्परस्तु यः।
स युवा तं जयेत् जिह्मं नीलवर्णं तिमिङ्गिलम्॥५॥
samājahitacintāvān tatkriyātatparastu yaḥ।
sa yuvā taṃ jayet jihmaṃ nīlavarṇaṃ timiṅgilam॥5॥
The youth who thinks about the welfare of the society and who actively involves in such activities will conquer that crooked blue whale.
गीतनाट्यकलासक्तः तत्पाटवसमुत्सुकः।
स युवा तं जयेत् जिह्मं नीलवर्णं तिमिङ्गिलम्॥६॥
gītanāṭyakalāsaktaḥ tatpāṭavasamutsukaḥ।
sa yuvā taṃ jayet jihmaṃ nīlavarṇaṃ timiṅgilam॥6॥
The Youth who is interested in arts like music and dance and is bent upon achieving excellence in them will conquer that crooked blue whale.
ऋजुत्वादकुतोभीतिः, रहस्यं न हि यत्कृतौ।
स युवा तं जयेत् जिह्मं नीलवर्णं तिमिङ्गिलम्॥७॥
ṛjutvādakutobhītiḥ rahasyaṃ na hi yatkṛtau।
sa yuvā taṃ jayet jihmaṃ nīlavarṇaṃ timiṅgilam॥7॥
The Youth who is straightforward (in his deeds) and hence does not have fear from any quarters and does not require to, consequently, keep his acts secret, will conquer that crooked blue whale.
विवेकी यस्तु नो हिंस्यात् मिथ्याहेतोर्निजं परम्।
स युवा तं जयेत् जिह्मं नीलवर्णं तिमिङ्गिलम्॥८॥
vivekī yastu no hiṃsyāt mithyāhetornijaṃ param।
sa yuvā taṃ jayet jihmaṃ nīlavarṇaṃ timiṅgilam॥8॥
The Youth, who is wise and hence does not harm himself or others for frivolous reasons will conquer that crooked blue whale.
वैफल्यं दौर्मनस्यं यो योगादिबलतो हरेत्।
स युवा तं जयेत् जिह्मं नीलवर्णं तिमिङ्गिलम्॥९॥
vaiphalyaṃ daurmanasyaṃ yo yogādibalato haret।
sa yuvā taṃ jayet jihmaṃ nīlavarṇaṃ timiṅgilam॥9॥
The Youth who is able to manage his failures and disappointments by the strength of Yoga and other such methods (and to that end does not gets addicted to undesirable things like blue whale etc) will conquer that crooked blue whale.
दिनचर्या तु यस्य स्यात् साध्वी नियतमास्थिता।
स युवा तं जयेत् जिह्मं नीलवर्णं तिमिङ्गिलम्॥१०॥
dinacaryā tu yasya syāt sādhvī niyatamāsthitā।
sa yuvā taṃ jayet jihmaṃ nīlavarṇaṃ timiṅgilam॥10॥
The youth who has a well-rounded daily schedule and adheres to it assiduously
will conquer that crooked blue whale.
तिमिङ्गिलं तद्गिलं वा
जयेज्जीव्याच्छतं समाः।
स युवा यस्य दशकमुपायानामिदं वशे॥
timiṅgilaṃ tadgilaṃ vā jayejjīvyācchataṃ samāḥ।
sa yuvā yasya daśakamupāyānāmidaṃ vaśe॥
The Youth can conquer (Blue) Whale or even a bigger entity than that and live a full hundred years if he masters these ten methods.
॥इति हेमलम्बनामसंवत्सरे भाद्रपदमासस्य शुक्लपक्षद्वादश्यां श्रीमद्वसन्तामहादेवसूनुना जयरामेण रचितः नीलतिमिङ्गिलविषयकः पद्यगुच्छः सम्पूर्णः॥
॥iti hemalambanāmasaṃvatsare bhādrapadamāsasya śuklapakṣadvādaśyāṃ śrīmadvasantāmahādeva-sūnunā jayarāmeṇa racitaḥ nīlatimiṅgilaviṣayakaḥ padyagucchaḥ sampūrṇaḥ॥
